Let me introduce myself…….
Currently I am studying graphic design in Vancouver. This is a new topic of interest for me, although I have always been interested in design of some sort. In the past I’ve worked as a makeup artist, a fashion designer and a scuba Dive-Master. For hobbies, I also love interior design and had fun decorating my loft by incorporating contemporary and funky-baroque style themes. More of my favorite activities would include DJ-ing, rollerblading and travelling. With the exception of Europe, most of the travelling I’ve done has been to 3rd world countries.
I used to live in Central America and I travelled extensively around that whole area; Nicaragua, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras. I’ ve also spent some time in South East Asia travelling around Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan and, my most loved travel location would be India. Along my journeys I encountered and survived 2 natural disasters! The first was in Oct of 98′ in Belize and Honduras when Hurricane Mitch destroyed the lives and homes of ten thousand people. The second was while I was in 2004 in India on Boxing Day when the tsunami hit. These experience certainly taught me alot about human capacity for resilience.
On to a lighter note, I see life as a series of choices, some we are in control of and others we are not. Yet we still move forward in pursuit of something. Do you know what your ‘something’ is?
For me, I think that it’s not knowing exactly what this ‘something’ is that compels me to keep looking. My creativity and passion are wavering, and I believe that creativity and the will for expression act as my driving force.
